GTA 6 Walmart Pre-Order Bonus Revealed: Mystery Gift Reportedly Included With Physical Copies

Walmart may be giving GTA 6 buyers an unexpected bonus when Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026.

A new report published on November 2 suggests that customers who pre-order GTA 6 through Walmart could receive a mystery gift alongside their purchase.

The promotion reportedly appeared on Walmart’s product listings before the relevant text was removed.

According to Kotaku’s November 2 report, the retailer briefly advertised a special pre-order bonus described as a mystery gift bag.

However, there’s one important detail: Walmart hasn’t publicly revealed what’s inside the package.

The promotion has sparked speculation among fans, particularly because GTA 6’s physical edition reportedly won’t include a traditional game disc.

Here’s what we know about the Walmart GTA 6 pre-order bonus, the mystery gift, and whether it’s worth purchasing a physical copy.

Walmart Reportedly Offering a GTA 6 Mystery Gift

The latest information comes from a screenshot shared by the deals-tracking account Nintendeal on November 2.

According to Kotaku, Walmart’s GTA 6 product listings previously mentioned a special bonus for customers who pre-ordered the game.

The promotion was described as a “Surprise and Delight” bag.

The screenshot suggested that customers purchasing the game through Walmart could receive an additional item with their delivery.

However, the retailer apparently removed the promotional wording from its listings.

That leaves several unanswered questions.

It’s unclear whether the promotion was published earlier than intended, whether Walmart changed its plans, or whether the bonus will still be included with qualifying orders.

The original listing is evidence that the promotion was advertised, but it doesn’t guarantee that every customer will receive a gift.

Walmart has also not provided a complete description of the bonus.

For now, buyers should treat the mystery bag as a reported retailer promotion rather than a guaranteed GTA 6 collectible.

What’s Inside the GTA 6 Mystery Bag?

That’s the biggest question.

Unfortunately, nobody outside the promotion’s organizers appears to know exactly what the bag contains.

Kotaku notes that Walmart previously offered surprise packages with certain major gaming pre-orders.

Those packages have sometimes included snacks and other small promotional items.

This has led to speculation that GTA 6 customers could receive something similar.

However, there is currently no confirmation that the GTA 6 mystery bag contains food, merchandise, collectibles, or anything else.

Some fans are hoping for exclusive Rockstar merchandise, while others would prefer a small physical collectible celebrating the game’s launch.

Possible items could include stickers, posters, keychains, or other promotional products.

These are examples of what a gaming pre-order gift might contain, not confirmed contents of Walmart’s GTA 6 package.

Until the retailer publishes more information or customers begin receiving their orders, the mystery remains unsolved.

GTA 6 Physical Edition Reportedly Comes Without a Disc

One reason this promotion has attracted attention is the unusual nature of GTA 6’s physical release.

According to previously announced retail information, the boxed version of Grand Theft Auto VI will contain a digital download code rather than a traditional game disc.

That means customers purchasing a physical copy will still need to download the game.

For collectors, this is a significant distinction.

Traditionally, physical editions have offered several advantages over digital purchases.

Players could display the box, lend the disc to friends, or sell their copy after finishing the game.

A code-in-box release changes that experience.

Once a digital code has been redeemed, it generally cannot be transferred to another account.

The packaging may still appeal to collectors, but the game itself remains tied to a digital license.

This could explain why retailers are exploring additional incentives.

A mystery gift gives customers another reason to purchase the boxed edition instead of downloading GTA 6 directly from their console’s digital storefront.

However, Walmart hasn’t stated that the reported promotion was specifically created to compensate for the absence of a disc.

That remains an interpretation rather than a confirmed business decision.

GTA 6 Download Size Could Make Physical Copies Less Convenient

Another important consideration is storage space.

Recent reports suggest that GTA 6 could require approximately 210 GB of storage on PlayStation 5.

The figure originated from PlayStation Game Size and received additional coverage from gaming publications.

However, Rockstar has not officially confirmed the final installation size.

If the reported figure is accurate, GTA 6 would occupy a substantial portion of a console’s available storage.

Players purchasing the boxed edition would still need to download the game because it reportedly contains a redemption code.

That means the physical package wouldn’t eliminate the need for a large download.

Internet speed could also become an important factor.

A 210 GB download would take approximately five hours on a stable 100 Mbps connection under ideal conditions.

Players with slower connections could need considerably longer.

Fortunately, digital preloading is scheduled to begin on November 12, giving players time to prepare before launch.

Whether customers purchasing boxed copies can begin downloading before receiving their packages will depend on when they obtain and redeem their codes.

How Much Does GTA 6 Cost at Walmart?

The standard edition of Grand Theft Auto VI is priced at $79.99 in the United States.

Walmart’s pre-order listings reflect that price for the console versions.

The reported mystery gift would therefore be an additional incentive rather than a separate paid edition.

However, customers should verify the current product listing before purchasing.

Retail promotions can change, and availability may differ between locations.

The mystery bonus also shouldn’t be confused with the official GTA 6 Ultimate Edition.

That edition is a separate product with its own included content.

The Walmart promotion, meanwhile, appears to be a retailer-specific offer associated with pre-orders.

There is currently no verified information suggesting that the mystery bag includes exclusive in-game missions, vehicles, or other digital content.

Is the GTA 6 Walmart Pre-Order Bonus Officially Confirmed?

The evidence is more substantial than an anonymous internet rumor, but there are still limitations.

The November 2 report is based on a screenshot of promotional text that reportedly appeared on Walmart’s website.

That’s different from an official announcement by Rockstar Games.

Here’s how the available information breaks down.

What Has Been Reported

• Walmart briefly advertised a mystery pre-order bonus for GTA 6.
• The promotion was described as a surprise gift bag.
• The information appeared in a screenshot shared by Nintendeal.
• Kotaku covered the promotion on November 2, 2026.
• The promotional wording was subsequently removed from the retailer’s listing.

What Remains Unconfirmed

• The exact contents of the mystery bag.
• Whether every pre-order qualifies.
• Whether the promotion is limited to certain quantities.
• Whether existing pre-orders are eligible.
• Whether Walmart will restore the promotional listing.
• Whether the gift contains official Rockstar merchandise.

These distinctions matter because customers shouldn’t make purchasing decisions based on unverified assumptions.

The safest approach is to check the retailer’s current terms and confirm that any promised bonus appears in the order details.

GTA 6 Pre-Orders Are Heating Up Ahead of November 19

The reported Walmart promotion arrives as Grand Theft Auto VI approaches its scheduled release.

After years of anticipation, players are preparing to explore Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida.

The game follows Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos, two protagonists whose criminal partnership forms the foundation of the story.

Rockstar has revealed an extensive open world featuring urban neighborhoods, coastal communities, rural areas, and numerous locations inspired by Florida.

The studio has also shared information about the game’s expanded NPC behavior, relationship mechanics, and criminal activities.

Fans interested in learning more about the protagonists can explore the GTA 6 Wiki on GTA VIKI, which covers characters, locations, vehicles, and other details about the upcoming game.

With launch approaching, retailers are competing for attention from players deciding where to purchase their copies.

A mystery gift could make Walmart’s offer more appealing, particularly to collectors who want something tangible to accompany their purchase.

But whether the bonus is worthwhile will ultimately depend on what’s actually included.

Should You Pre-Order GTA 6 From Walmart?

That depends on what matters most to you.

If you’re primarily interested in playing GTA 6 as soon as possible, purchasing a digital edition directly through PlayStation or Xbox may be more convenient.

Digital preloading allows players to download the game before release.

A physical code-in-box edition, meanwhile, may require waiting for delivery before the download can begin.

For collectors, the situation is different.

A boxed copy can still have display value, even without a disc.

And if Walmart includes an exclusive promotional gift, that could make the package more interesting.

However, there’s no reason to assume the mystery bag contains something particularly valuable.

The retailer hasn’t disclosed its contents.

Customers should also consider delivery times, especially if they want to play immediately on launch day.

A pre-order doesn’t necessarily guarantee that a physical package will arrive before the game becomes playable.

Ultimately, the mystery bonus should be viewed as a possible extra rather than the main reason to purchase the game.

GTA 6 Release Date and Platforms

Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Rockstar has not announced an official PC release date.

The game returns players to Vice City, introducing a modern version of the iconic location alongside the wider state of Leonida.

Jason and Lucia’s story follows the pair as they become involved in a criminal conspiracy that stretches across the state.

Final Thoughts: Walmart’s GTA 6 Mystery Gift Is Still a Mystery

The reported Walmart pre-order bonus is an interesting development just weeks before Grand Theft Auto VI launches.

According to Kotaku’s November 2 coverage, the retailer briefly advertised a surprise gift bag with GTA 6 pre-orders before removing the promotional wording.

The promotion could provide an additional incentive for customers interested in purchasing the boxed edition.

However, the contents of the bag remain unknown, and Walmart hasn’t publicly clarified whether the offer is still active.

For now, players should avoid assuming that the package includes exclusive GTA 6 collectibles or valuable merchandise.

The mystery gift might turn out to be a fun launch-day surprise, but until Walmart reveals what’s inside, it’s impossible to know whether the bonus is worth choosing over a digital purchase.

With GTA 6 scheduled to arrive on November 19, we may soon find out what Walmart has planned.
