GTA 6 Gets a $400 Collector’s Box, But It Doesn’t Include the Game

GTA 6 is getting a massive collector’s package filled with Vice City merchandise. There’s just one catch: the $400 box doesn’t actually include GTA 6.

Rockstar Games has officially revealed Grand Theft Auto VI: The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a limited-edition collector’s box packed with merchandise inspired by Vice City, Leonida, and the fictional Macca the Gator TV show.

The collection is priced at $399.99, making it a serious purchase even for dedicated GTA fans. And despite the price, Rockstar makes one thing very clear: Grand Theft Auto VI is sold separately.

What’s Inside the GTA 6 Vice City Collection?

The package includes 11 collectible items:

  • 6-inch Macca the Gator figure with a hidden stash compartment
  • GTAVI Oakley Frogskins sunglasses with Prizm Sapphire lenses
  • New Era 9FORTY A-Frame snapback with Vice City and Leonida details
  • Macca the Gator magnetic mirror
  • Leonida Keys crossbody bag
  • Chunkee the Manatee shot glass
  • Vice City collectible swizzle spoon
  • Vice City razor blade keychain
  • Leonida Keys enamel pin set inside a custom metal tin
  • Premium Leonida Keys sticker pack
  • Double-sided souvenir poster featuring artwork on one side and a map of Leonida on the other

Everything comes packaged inside a premium collector’s box designed specifically for the collection.

Yes, You Still Have to Buy GTA 6 Separately

The most surprising part of the collection is what isn’t included.

There is no copy of GTA 6 inside the box. No physical game, and no digital download code.

Rockstar describes the Vice City Collection as a premium collectible set rather than an edition of the game itself, meaning anyone who spends $399.99 on the package will still need to purchase GTA 6 separately if they actually want to play it.

It’s an unusual approach compared with traditional collector’s editions, which normally bundle the game together with statues, artwork, steelbooks, and other merchandise.

Macca the Gator Gets Plenty of Attention

A large part of the collection is inspired by Macca the Gator, a fictional character from an in-universe Leonida television show.

The six-inch Macca figure is one of the centerpiece items, and it even features a base that can be opened to reveal a hidden storage compartment.

Macca also appears on the magnetic mirror and on the artwork included with the package.

Rockstar has increasingly used Leonida’s fictional brands, characters, businesses, and entertainment to build out GTA 6’s world before launch, and this collection takes that idea into real-world merchandise.

You Also Get a Full Map of Leonida

One of the more interesting items for GTA fans could be the double-sided poster.

One side features illustrated Macca the Gator artwork, while the other provides a full view of the Leonida map.

For fans interested in exploring GTA 6’s world, this could easily become one of the most desirable pieces in the entire collection.

Limited Quantities

Rockstar says The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection is being produced in limited quantities and is available for pre-order while supplies last.

The collector’s box is scheduled to arrive on November 19, 2026, the same date currently listed by Rockstar for the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Availability varies depending on region, with Rockstar also confirming that additional pre-order details for Asia, Latin America, and Australia will be announced separately.

$400 Worth of Vice City, Just Without GTA 6

At nearly $400, this is clearly aimed at serious GTA collectors rather than players simply looking to pick up the game.

The Oakley sunglasses, New Era hat, Macca figure, Leonida bag, pins, collectibles, and full map make it one of the most elaborate GTA merchandise packages Rockstar has released.

Still, the fact that GTA 6 itself isn’t included will probably be the detail most people remember.

You can get the sunglasses, the hat, the map, the alligator and even a tiny Vice City spoon.

You’ll just have to buy the actual game separately.
