GTA 6 Leaker Threatens to Release a Playable Build Before Launch
The person behind a series of recent GTA 6 leaks is now threatening to release an entire playable build of the game before its official launch.
Grand Theft Auto VI is only weeks away, but Rockstar Games may have an even bigger leak problem on its hands.
A leaker operating under the name Cyberleek has been publishing unauthorized GTA 6 gameplay footage for months and recently returned with approximately 25 minutes of new footage, including story scenes, first-person gameplay, driving, and other material that Rockstar has never officially shown.
Now, Cyberleek is threatening to go much further.
Cyberleek Threatens to Release the Full Story
According to a message shared by the leaker, a playable GTA 6 build will supposedly be released if the market capitalization of the CYBERLEEK cryptocurrency reaches $30 million.
The threat specifically claims that the release would contain the full story mode from beginning to end, including the credits.
At the moment, the cryptocurrency remains far below that target, so there is no guarantee the threat will ever be carried out.
Still, Cyberleek has already demonstrated access to a playable version of GTA 6, making the situation more serious than a typical rumor or fake leak.
Rockstar Still Hasn't Stopped the Leaks
Cyberleek first attracted major attention after publishing gameplay footage in August.
The videos appeared convincing enough that Take-Two began issuing copyright takedowns, while later footage showed the player performing actions directly inside the game, providing strong evidence that the leaker had access to a playable build rather than simply possessing prerecorded footage.
Take-Two has also pursued legal measures in an effort to identify those responsible for the leaks, including seeking information connected to online accounts and communities where the footage was distributed.
Despite those efforts, Cyberleek has continued releasing material.
The Latest Leak Is the Biggest Yet
The most recent upload contains around 25 minutes of GTA 6 footage, making it one of the largest unauthorized gameplay leaks from the game so far.
The footage reportedly includes:
-
Jason and Lucia
-
First-person gameplay
-
Driving and motorcycle sequences
-
Story-related scenes
-
Races and open-world activities
-
Previously unseen locations
-
Material that may contain significant story spoilers
Because the footage comes from an unauthorized development build, some features shown may differ from the final version of the game.
For players hoping to experience GTA 6 without spoilers, the situation is becoming increasingly difficult as launch approaches.
Cyberleek Gives Rockstar an Ultimatum
Cyberleek has also offered Rockstar and Take-Two what it calls a way to prevent the full build from being released.
The leaker claims the threat would be dropped if the companies released GTA 6 on physical discs and issued a public apology to players.
There is no indication Rockstar or Take-Two intends to respond to those demands.
With GTA 6 scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, making major changes to the game's distribution strategy at this stage would also be extremely unlikely.
Is It Really a PC Version of GTA 6?
This is where the situation becomes less clear.
Some reports and community discussion have suggested that Cyberleek may be running a development build on PC.
However, there is currently no reliable confirmation that the leaker possesses a finished PC version of GTA 6.
Rockstar has officially announced GTA 6 only for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at launch. A native PC release has not yet been announced.
Development builds are often run on specialized PC hardware even when the retail game is targeting consoles, so footage running on a computer does not necessarily mean a consumer-ready PC edition exists.
For now, the safest description is that Cyberleek appears to have access to some form of playable GTA 6 development build.
The Biggest Risk May Be Story Spoilers
Even if the complete build is never publicly released, the leaks could still create a major problem for Rockstar.
Cyberleek claims to have access to the game's full story, meaning major plot developments or even GTA 6's ending could potentially appear online before players get the chance to experience them for themselves.
That may ultimately be more damaging for fans than seeing unfinished gameplay.
GTA 6 has been in development for years, and its story involving Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos is one of the parts Rockstar has deliberately kept relatively secret.
With only a short time remaining before launch, anyone hoping to avoid spoilers may want to be particularly careful on social media.
GTA 6's Leak Problem Isn't Over Yet
Rockstar has dealt with major GTA 6 leaks before, including the enormous development leak in 2022.
But this situation is unusual because the person responsible appears to have ongoing access to a playable version of the game and is using new footage to promote a cryptocurrency.
Whether Cyberleek will actually release the full build remains unknown.
For now, the $30 million demand is only a threat.
But after months of genuine-looking gameplay leaks, Rockstar and GTA fans probably can't dismiss it completely.
